Who is behind the counter, and how it got this far.

2014
Saverio Minichini is a pizzaiolo from Naples. After years working in other people’s pizzerias, in 2014 he mounted a wood-fired oven on a truck and started out on his own. That is how Pizzeria Viaggiante da Saverio began.
The first truck and the one we use today.
Over the years
Since then he has cooked for university students, for family parties and birthdays, for company openings and dinners, at village festivals and town events, at weddings and ceremonies, and inside the American base at Camp Darby. The Facebook page has grown year after year.
Today
The truck works by appointment across Tuscany, mostly around Pisa, Livorno and Lucca. During the week it makes the rounds of the neighborhoods near Cascina, and where it stops is posted on the Facebook page.
